Walled City is proud to present Elements of Narrative, an exhibition featuring the work of three artists, focusing on works that explore and reference the territory of the sketchbook, the experimental places where artists work out their imagery and visions.  All three of the artists in this show are exploring the boundaries of their work, finding new ways to bring their vision out.  John Bagge’s work is chaotic, playful, his figures lurk, lounge and skulk.  Rochelle Botello’s colourful, deceptively inviting works explore the boundaries and actions of relationships, referencing idiom and isolating moments of action and inaction.  Nicholas Klemek’s work depicts scenes and objects, composed of simple lines, spotlighting moments of decision, often referencing the action of vision and idle contemplation, nudging the viewer into mild voyeurism.
